I'm still yet to find a set of pads that dont chew through the rotors, or have bad dite or make the rims bloody dirty, ive actually gone back to ford pads, although they do make alot of brake dust, they give good bite but dont kill the rotors.

Ford pads chewed my rotors in my old fairlane, that was for sure..
Have you tried EBC pads?
There is also a new brand I heard of few weeks back that I wouldn't mind trying, they are ceramic and supposed to be the "pad to be" so to speak, next to no dust, excelent bite and long lasting.. Sounds a little too good to be true hey!

I run DBA slotted rotors, and Lucas pads, a very good combination. Previously I was replacing Ford OEM pads/rotors every service :(.

The DBA's have lasted at least 30,000 (still plenty of wear left in 'em) and I've just changed pads.

maybe a seperate thread could be made with a poll, with choices like:

- yes im in for sure i'l buy a kit straight away.

- yes im in for sure i'l buy a kit in a month or two when i have the cash.

- in for sure, but will look at buying in more than a couple months.

- id buy in a year or so/id have to think about it.

- nah wouldnt bother.

just to give the distributors an idea of initial demand etc, so they can also get the numbers/costing balanced aswell.. (i.e. prediction of profit may set the price, i dunno)

jamie.

Joe's Kit will be NOW available with 4 pot calipers for not much more.

His kit will include everything basically mentioned except front and REAR braided lines. i think thats just inf ull detail but every kit would be like that i dont see why not!

regarding what spider said, with my el gts (original parts tho) twinpots on my ef, i can pull up something chronic! i ovre took terroristghia at 140 and overtook 2 cars to pull up o the left and i was about 5-10 metres ahead of him even tho he pulled behind the two cars to pull over and he has crossdrilled slotted/ultimates all 4 paws. so they make a huge difference.

tomorrow you will see some nice developments that have happened and even the 4pot setup if ready.

what kind of engineer certification do they have?

is there more specific pricing instead of "1000-1500" yet?
