Is it possible that a tyre could be warped from factory?

I had a mate follow me and he said one of my rims was buckled and the tyre wobbling. It was news to me because I can't feel any vibration at any speed from the rear.
I had my brother follow me and check it and he said he was unsure if the wheel was buckled.

I just had the wife drive the car and I followed her and it doesn't look like the rim is buckled but the tread on the tyre is definitely moving around slightly.
They are brand new Yokohama tyres on a 15" stockie rim for an EF/EL.

Is it also possible it wasn't fitted to the rim correctly?

Any ideas?

Watch the tyres when they are being spun up on the balancer it will show if they are fitted correctly or not :D

I've just changed the rear two rims so that they both have the same tyre on them and the other tyre has a split in the deep groove. Looks like Yokohama are a not doing well for me. Glad I removed it cause thats two I've got to get fixed hopefully both not costing a cent.

I'll check the balancer if they agree to do it.

Got the rim and tyre on the balancer and the rim is warped/buckled.

God damn it.

Cheaper to get another one than get it repaired.

I reckon it was done when the gorilla with the hammer whacked the balance weight on it. Nothing I can do about it now.

I'm after another set of silver stockies now.
