ignore size variations, but what would everyone here be willing to pay for a VERY sticky street tyre?
basically i'm looking around for the best, stickiest, street tyres out there, afaic if they only last 20,000k's/1 year i'm happy, IMO longer than that and they get too hard..... just trying to decide if ~$500 is a bit excessive for a 16" tyre

atm i'm looking at paying $210 each for some Toyo Proxes T1-R's, reputedly a very sticky street tyre, but doing a little shopping, i've found semi-competition Advan's for ~$500-ish

I and other mates have always loved the Yokies for the 16's, extremely grippy we've found out.
I can't remeber the model number, but they'd be around the $250 mark. |

just called tyrepower - was told Khumo KU25 225/50/16's @ $159/cnr are a pretty good deal... Toyo 245/50's are $219 - not worth the extra price for the minimal width!

I like buying decent tyres for the front, as for the rear if they made 17" retreads I'd buy em!

Thats why I love 15's. They do make 16's in retreads though. Who wants grip when you can slide.

some people prefer to be able to corner at speed without having to deal with under/oversteer

As long as their safe, the tyres that the dealership put on my EA when I bought it said on the side of the tyre "speed limit - 140km/h", at 130, the steering wheel vibrated like a mofo.
