iz it ok to use gears 1,2,3 in automatic transmision (4 speed auto from a fairmont ef)???
can it stuff up the gearbox in any way? and if you can drive it like that, how should you do it (do you have to let go from the accelator when changing gear)????

its a auto so why would you really want to unless u need to hold a gear. it shouldnt damage the box,

As said above, if trying to hold a gear, like on hills (up or down) it should be fine, otherwise it wont make much of a difference..
For the factor of when you wanna feel like your doing something in the auto not just sitting there, if your sensible it should be fine.. Depends HOW much you do it I guess. Id say be smart about it, dont go throwing into 1st at 70kmhr lol and make sure you get the box serviced more often = good for box anyway! PS: if its already rough then i wouldnt want to make it any worse, if it feels nice n smooth then your one of the lucky ones that hasnt had a neglected box.

You can draw out your shifts if you want to go into race mode but do not over do it.
Just a bit of advice, do not shift it into R for race while you are going forward.

The gearbox should have just clicked till you almost came to a stop. As for shifting down to first, mine wont shift till it gets below 60. Can still end up with a compression lock up going into second at 105...
