Its a very popular brand!

I'd expect it to be as good as PBR

My guess is that your flywheel needs machining. The heat caused from clutch slip can cause the flywheel to glaze up and become very hard. And then the clutch wont grab. Was the flywheel machined before you put it in?

So what was the problem in the end?! How'd you fix it?

My clutch has give up over the last couple of days. I need a new one, was quoted $680 for a PBR unit Fitted and flywheel machining.. Is this a fair price? Has been a good workshop to me in the past so far.

Was considering getting this VALEO unit from that Sunbury Brakes joint in the mail.. $147 for their 30% heavier kit.. seems cheap?

After a couple of thousand Ks aren't you supposed to adjust your clutch after it wears in?
Thats what I was told when I got mine fitted.

yeah, and Sprint, and EB GT, and ED XR8.
Buy a PBR clutch for an EL XR8 and it has a valeo clutch plate.
Valeo supply PBR I think.

possibly a sticky cable, or thrust bearing... did you grease the snout of the gearbox where the thrust bearing runs?
Is there any freeplay in the pedal / cable, maybe the cables too tight
