Hi all,

Driving home from work last night I noticed a pretty bad vibration between 70-100km/hr. I can feel it in my steering wheel, and the foot rest next to the clutch pedal. When i go around a left turn/bend it goes away, but when i go around a right turn/bend it gets worse. It is rather loud aswell.

I have 4 new pirelli's on it, done around 4000kms on them. (225x50x16's They were ballanced and a wheel alignment was done. 34 psi in each tyre) There are reasonably new front brake discs on it too.

I have got no idea what it could be. I don't flog her, as I drive nearly 200km's a day going to/from work. Can anyone throw me any ideas??

yeah sounds like the bearings... you'd think the dudes that changed your rotors would have done the bearings too

If the front brakes are relatively new, then it could be assumed that the bearings are new and repacked.. However, go back to whoever did it and tell them of the problem.

Yeah all the guys were right ... it seems to be a common issue with new (mainly the DBA rotors ) on EF/EL facons where the front left wheel bearings appear to get slightly discoloured - not so much worn and the noise :x horrible.

Best bet is what yor already doing and replace the wheel bearings....should be fine then....

FYI : most brake outlets will actually tell u to bring the car back in or around 4000kms to have the bearings checked to make sure this doesnt hapen

Kewl hope all goes well
