the last few weeks i've been noticing when slowing down the car starts vibrating some times, now i would have thought rotors but front ones are not to old (maybe 5000km's done on em, they are DBA slotted's), and the back rotors are very old they have been on the car since before i bought it and they are pretty thin at the back so im hoping if it is a warped disc then it's the back ones, but i think think of how i did it if it is a warped disc.

is there any other things it could be other then warped disc?

if the steering wheel shakes when you put your foot on the brake then your front rotors are warped, if you can feel pulsation in the pedal but nothing through the s/wheel then your rear discs are warped

Heh, sucks for me, i have both pedal and wheel shake :P

Fronts will have fried from heavy braking and rears prolly from rubber to smoke conversions.

crud.

hey seanyb, instead of wrecking ur rear discs every time u do a burnout try hookin a line locker up,they sell em on ebay.
also i think that even if ur disc rotors r brand new they can stil warp if enuf heat is put thru into them by brake fade, someone correct me if i am wrong

well i havn't faded my brakes since i had them on, i used to have brake fade when i bought the car all the time coz of the way i used to drive it plus it had dodgy pads and discs on it, but havn't faded these once and barely go hard on these brakes, i take it pretty easy now.

another thing it could be (i had the same prob and this worked for me) the bolt that hold the disc on the one with the split pin though it is not tight enough prety sure they have to be torqued to a certain setting and they come loose over time which could be posible seeing as how you have new rotars you generally wouldnt think they would be warped but its worth giving it a go

also check the front bush in the lower control arm. This is a silicon filled bush, and when it leaks its fukced. This will cause a vibration through the wheel

if u have vibrations during braking, its probaly front rotors.

if its vibrating all the time, especially at high speeds, check that the balance on your rims hasnt fallen off and ur wheel alignment.

Had a similar problem a little while ago. It wasnt the rotors nor the lower control arm bushes, wheel bearings were new and ball joints ok. It was worn radius rod bushes causing the wheels to bounce back and forth under brakes and also causing the tyres to srub.
