has anyone heard of wanli tyres?
apparently they are a good tyre, made in china, they grip good in the dry, yet to test them out in the wet? They came with my rims and have plenty of tread so im not going to get rid of them, just curious about their reputation cheers

there have been a influx of cheaper style unknown brand tyres on the market in the past 12months or so sometimes u get em tyre stores or even teh sales rep can come to your work and sell em that way ( not fitted ) heard some are good and some are s**t if they use a soft rubber and a decent tread pattern they may be a ok family car tyre but for a bit more grip and performance u really need a tyre desgined for that 225/50/16 i pay about 170 each and thats a firestone FZ50 good grip dry and wet and has a rim protector as well ps if they are cheap and s**t good tiem to smoke em!

they are cheap tyres, better then falken in my opinion but wanli, sava, falken and nangkang are the cheaper under $220 range of 17"+ tyres.
i still think there s**t but oh well lol |

Yeah I got 'em in 17". They're okay in the drive (pretty noisy - like a 4WD), grip well, but that may be due to the 8" width and lack of power LOL... And in the wet, they're f**k haha!
That's the general consensus I've heard as well. |

I've got em on my car in 235 17's. There's a few different types. On the front I've got the cheaper ones which were about $120 each and the "performance series", what ever they call it, on the back for about $140 (I got them at seperate times) They're not brilliant, and I don't find they grip that well, but then I'm putting 175kw thru them
so for the price I suppose they're ok.

awesome, ill have to do a few kays on em and see if they're slippery i did manage to arc one up today tho...best part was the lack of squeal. gotta be better than the $80 skypower i had on the 205/65r15 (yer im a broke uni student:) ) Cheers for the info ppl

ronin, your better off getting second hand 225/60/15s for about $50ea with 80%+ tread .. better tractions and better brands help

Yeah if you can get good brand 2nd hand ones's you're laughing. When I bough my rims I got bridgestone S02 tyres for $60 ea and they were really good compared to others I had previously

Yeah i have them on the back, running my 19's.
As the general consensus goes.. They have awesome grip in the dry, but are very average in the wet. Not bad for a cheap tyre, even though they were on my rims when i got them too. I would get them again, if they still stay cheap! |
