hey,

have a el fairmont, all the disks have been replaced and i have new tyre rod ends on it. and still when i turn a corner while braking i get a rough feeling in my foot, along with a clunking sorta sound cross grining sound. if i just turn without braking (break before the corner) its smooth as hell. if i brake in a line it does not do it.. the pads are also fine. heaps of meat.. i find this very strange, and suggestions??
thanks :D

Did you replace the wheel bearings when you did the disks?

could be the pads ..might be a ruff compound ? ..
i had a set of (cheap) pads on my old mazda ,
i thought it was metal to metal ..lol..
pulled them off ,they were as new ,
but had a ruff look ,& bits of shinny stuff in the pad compound .
changed to bendix,,worked fine .

If its not your disks or pads then Id say it may be your bearings. I hate changing them.....soo much thick grease..eww.

Its possible one of your rotors may be warped. But if that was the case it would happen all the time. I am not a fan of bendix as they tend to be very harsh on rotor wear and cause glazing lines around the rotor. maybe try EBC green stuff as they are a mild performance pad with lots of copper inbuilt.
