i upgraded to RDA slotteds and they were no good, had heaps of probs with them, they shuddered as much as the stock ones, but after that Cam and hightek brakes hooked me up with some DBA slotteds and they were so much better. i recommend hightek brakes to anyone

I have DBA slotted kangaroopaws and they warp in 5-10k aaarrgggh! I am very interested in what is needed to go for 330mm discs. I got the BA calipers and was thinking I need AU steering knuckles and hubs is that right Pssupernak?? How bout a stickie on what is required? |

I don't know why anyone would say that slotted rotors were crap if they had tried them.
In the past I used to use slotted and cross drilled rotors, but found that after some hard work they would crack between the cross drills. I am currently running DBA 4000 series slotted rotors on my BA wagon which is a massive improvement. I had a lot of trouble with brake shudder until I put these on, they have now been on the car for almost 60,000kms and I haven't had to have them machined once. I used to get the original rotors machined at least every service. I am running the new Bendix SRT pads on the car now and they are definately a step above the EBC greenstuffs I had on before. |

Slotteds are great. My EF use to be very scary in the wet. Chucked the lots on with a set of Greenstuffs and in the wet was considerably better.
Drilled rotors will crack as the drilling weakens the rotor. If you can find holes which were cast in (as opposed to drilling) you wont have this problem of cracking. I never had a problem of warping slotted rotors
