we put slotted on one of our ef fairmonts and they double the braking feel....great quality brakes.....but after about 4-5000k's one already had hot spots......and aparently this is common.......so ill be putting the dba 4000series slotted on my el to see how they run.....but otherwise great braking

Put DBAs on-slotted only, and perhaps braided lines, with RBT pads, and the difference will have you wishing you had done it earlier!!

Yes, they last about twice as long as standard. Has anyone else has as low as 30,000km's from standard ones?

wow...fills the gaps nicely . back on topic...I only have slotted rotors on the rear. My front discs are warped so all my braking system is pretty much a dud. Going to need to upgrade soon. Nothing wrong with going slotted...but they do last longer and may be cooler. phong =P~

PS wit my big brakes i can only fit 18", Are you saying that slotted ones will warp more often than standard rotors? By the way, what kind of brake setup is that you've got? |

^ i know you run a mod business, emuch for the 330's?
imhoo, on topic... slotted rotors were a great upgrade over the stock brakes, and when i upgraded i had freshly done stock brakes (previous owner). on a side note, i get ~20k before they needed mechining. and dont go for dba "golds" or crossdrills they DO crack, a good freind of mine cracked both fronts after ~10k and there was no differance in brakeing between my car and his, needless to say he's now running slotteds. |
