I have used DBA' and RDA's. The DBA's were slotted and drilled and i ended up cracking the front set. The RDA's are now on the car and have been trouble free although they are only slotted. And 1965tbird, i know what you mean about the humming. I get that a lot when slowing from 170odd at the end of the track

BenJ yes, after a few weeks, car has developed a squeel for the last couple metres of a stop, but other than that they are fine lol |

The humming is the slots doing their work. I like it.

never said i didnt like it it means the abs is also working very hard it actually isnt that noticable but if your pedantic about your car youll notice any difference in sound. Well my rule of thumb is i never go stingy on brakes and tires the rest can be bargained on. thats my 2c anyway.

No it doesn't. The escaping gases from the slots makes the noise, ABS doesn't came into it.

I've got EBC Greenstuff on the front slotted rotors,and EBC Blackstuff on the rear standard rotors.
Seems to work good for my ride

There are a few shudders you can get;
If it shudders while you put your foot on the break and vibrates the steering wheel, you need to get your front rotors machined (or new ones, nearly the same price), but if it shudders at high speed also without the foot on the break, get new wheel bearings. If you cant feel it in the steering wheel it could be a bent axle in the rear, hit any gutters lately? |

Oh and its normally good practice to replace the break pads once the rotors have been machined. Or the rotor will quickly go back to being warped.
