Hi guys its time to replace my break pads. The metal on metal sound just isn't good...and the breaking sucks!

I've got no idea on what pads to get. I've browsed all over the forum but cant find exactly which pads are going to be best for everyday driving.

So I guess id like to know what pads are you all using and what are they like? Prices and best places to find them would be really great to.

Money isn't a problem but I don't want to fork out top dollar for pads that wont suit everyday driving. I've heard Green stuff are great but are a little squeaky???
And is it worth forking out the extra money and getting DBA slotted rotors?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Ive been using Bendix Advance and will probably stick
with them. (Have considered Bendix Ultimate, but havent
used them)

Just got a price at about $34 a corner for
supply only on the Advance.

Thanks for the reply. I've been reading a bit about the Bendix advance and ultimates. The ultimates seem to be allot better from what I've read though.

Dont know whats on my XR6, but dad has Bendix Ultimates on his EL, they seem to be better than my brakes

I have used bendix ultimate in the past and for stopping performance they are excellent, highly recommended. Huge difference over standard ones. From memory they are not at there best until they have a little heat in them. I also believe that they wear your discs quicker and are a bit dustier than other pads but I would not hesitate to buy them again. They are more expenisve than a lot of other pads but if you can get them for trade they are a bargain.

I recently paid some stupidly high price to have my discs machined and my pads replaced at brakes plus, I opted for there top of the line pads and they are not as good as the bendix. In my opinion you get what you pay for and brakes are a very important part of your car. A mate of mine recently put the cheapo burson brand pads on his falcon and they are rubbish.

I have been running Bendix CTs on the work ute ... and they have been pretty decent ... solid pedal feel as well. Pull up nicely when loaded up too.

I been using Bendix advance for years and have been happy with them.
Don't know what's on the BA though, assuming genuine, they seem to be ok.

im runnin DBA slotted rotors with EBC Greenstuff pads

after i de-seized my callipers i am very happy with them. once warm they pull up very strongly. if cold they are average...but will come on strong if u start giving the brake pedal a thrashing
