Just wondering wat is a good 15" tyre? Something with good grip but not too expensive. Around $150 per tyre. Thanks

used the G-Grids until they were supersedded by the new generation potenzas...now I use them. Great in the wet, not too noisey (for a blocky tread) and wear pretty good too. Around 135 to 170 depending on place of purchase.

what do you want the tyre for?
just normal driving? any track work? any drag strip use? if its general driving most tyres will be suitable

a set of yokohama c.drive's in 225/60/15's is about $150 each, they are a bang on tyre for the $$'s, these things grip very well, I have driven both the Bridgestone GIII's and the yokies, and the yokies leave the GIII's for dead, they are awesome in the wet, and fantastic in the dry, they have good wear life as well and are a silica compound tyre as well. I am unsure if the GIII's are silica based though, but fount the GIII's to be a little to soft for a car like a falcon especially if you wanna throw it round a little, the C.Drive yokies have it in my book.. I am not a fan of Falkens(?) or continental/michelin the quality they offer in this price bracket is not matching the others,
Yokies all the way in this size for these dollars mate.. The yokie may be a little cheaper now in 15 as it has been a while since i have bought a set of 15's, well since early Jan anyway. $150 at the time each FITTED!!

Bridgestone ER30 225/60/15 is what I had fitted to my Fairlane for $150ea and I find the grip very good. Very happy with purchase so far.

Just recently bought some Hankook 251/60R/15" for $130 each. Stick well in the wet, better than pirelli.

a good mate was running symex 15"s in his ea manual, and they toook ages to kill, even with a coupla burnouts a day.
they lasted months and months. they are tough tyres and gri pritty well. |

well i didnt take ne 1's advice lol. Im getting a pair of Dunlop Le Manz. Not cause they good just cause they were $99 each fitted. I am a tight a** after all....

dun-flops suck. sorry you went down that path.. ahh well, at least you will be able to advise against a purchase from experience now..
enjoy. no hard feelings mate, I am not trying to be a prick. the Le mans are the dun-flop equivilent of the Bridgestone RE-92, the povert pack tyre of chice for all stock-o dunny-doors
