Hey guys,

Trying to work out what ratio my diff would be its factory ford open centre the user manual isn't very helpful saying basically it could be any of these ratios...

Its an ED Falcon 93 GLi factory 5 speed... would it be a 3.23? and if I went to a 3.45 would i see much difference in torque and any more revs at 100km/hr?

Thanks,
Tim

Whats it rev at currently at 100kmhr?
If its 2k exact you have 3.23s. If it revs lower you'll have 3.08s.
3.45s will give you about 2200/2250 at 100kmhr.

most ea mpi 5speeds were 2.92 not sure if this was still one of the ratios in ed's
i fited a 3.23 LSD and didnt notice a lot of dif the only thing is i lost the speed out of each gear.
from memory only Auto wagons-fairlanes came with 3.23 and XR's came with 3.45 unless it was optioned from ford

Yeah its pretty much 2k at 100km/hr maybe 1900 to 1950 but around that mark for sure... However it did come from ford with 15's with 215/65 from memory and now has 17's with 235/45 or something like that...and they have a slightly larger circumference then the 15's...

Anyway was just curious as I have no idea and unless its an LSD they don't have the ratio written on them do they?

Thanks,
Tim

timmytimtim, the ratio is in small print at the bottom right hand corner of the sticker. I took pics of the tag & labels cause I CBF getting right under the wagon. Then I just zoomed into the pic back on the pc. But I'm lazy.
