I have a gli xg and i want to make the diff from single to lsd. Now I have brought a lsd diff out of a ef sedan and was going to use the centre from it. But the diff people say my diff in the xg is a 25 spline, is this so as I thought it had a 28 spline axle like the ef. Is the diff guy wrong or right?

i'm not sure, but i would assume the XG would run XF wagon/ute diff, or EB/ED wagon diff.

the XH was based on alot of EF parts so they may have changed between ED and EF

i'm not too sure,

after a quick search it appears that sixes all use 25 spline, and V8's use 28 spline.

not my field of specialty though, hopefully someone can confirm this...

one would assume ute/wagon would be the same as they were the only leaf sprung models?

yea you would think that..
also the xg ute t5 was the same as the eb2-el .
so i would say the xg should have the 28 spline axles...

Rule of thumb is anything with a 4 litre is 28 spline. Also if it has a flange tailshaft it is normally 28 spline. Regards TPVM.
