Why is it that you guys are running more pressure in the rears, when there is more weight over the front?
I run about 40 front, 36 rear. |

I run higher in the rear ...as I carry load and tow a lot ... but that's the only reason why i do.
But if you aren't carrying heavy load all of the time ... it is better to have a bit more in the front ... make braking and steering more effective to a better contact patch on the road. I wouldn't carry more than 40psi though. And nowhere near 55psi ... on a highway ... that's asking for a blowout.

why would ya say that?
heard most tyres can go well beyong what they are rated for. heard of a ~100psi test figure once before, nothing to back it up though

yeh for the 235/45 spec id run 36-38....and 40 for towing or bit of boot weight.
