ive found a Ford EL XR6 cam shaft for sale for $50, was wondering what its actually worth wether it be more or less than $50.

hi
if the cam is ok. eg. no rust on the cam lobes.. i would say $50 is a good price.. |

you will probably gain a few kw from the cam by itself..
but i would ask the seller what the numbers are on the cam shaft to confirm its a xr6 one?? |

G if you want one i have a EF xr6 cam with some old xr6 springs here you can have, just come get them. They would be able to go straight in but a regrind would be the go. call surecam, or tighe for the regrind they are up here in the good part of the country. But better than the stock XR6 cam i have a Tighe 826A and some 90 LBS crower springs here too (done about 10 000kms), I reccon $150 would make me part with them. new the cam was $500 springs were $120.

don't bother with an xr6 cam, just get a regrind.
the xr6 was less than 10kw over the std engine (closer to 5kw?) and it had different cam, fuel regulator, exhaust? and bigger exhaust valves and different ecu tune. all that for 10kw, it shows the cam isn't doing much more
