Can anyone tell me what brand and model shockies are the smoothest and give the best ride for a 97 el fairmont?
I dont want to buy the top shelf ones if there is not much differance in the ride and handling when compared to the cheaper ones.

KYB are apparently the best bang per buck. They are not bad by all accounts, a few people on here have them.

I am going to grab some KYB shocks for the rear of my ef, they are pretty damn cheap compared to pedders/gabriel too!

Amazing how many options and opinions. I reckon the Pedders Comfort gas would be the go, best of both worlds with the variable dampening, not the cheapest though.

Ok Aiden if its a stock EL fairmont just go for the Monroe GT Gas as they are not top shelf and will be fine for what you want as in smooth ride. Apparently sensor track are a little better for a stock ride with added comfort. Most of the replies so far are running lows, super lows and even ultra lows so they really cannot compare with stock height or ride as most should be running shortened shocks which most on the rears are heavy duty as standard.
