the wheel bearings depent on what car it is (all falcons) have a inner and a out taper roller assembly which sits in a hub unit. Basicly it's what helps the wheel go around, Where I work we sell wheel bearings I've seen a few photos of car that have had the bearings "installed at home" with out being packed in grease not a pretty site.
Best thing to do is have them re-placed they don't cost much for the wheelbearing kits, I can even give you the numbers for the bearings or the hole kit. Front wheel is a 1166 kit should cost $15-$20 a kit MAKE sure that you get good set's not crap made in china as the bearings are not made from a desent grade steel. Rear wheel is a 2985 kit approx $20-$25per kit These are the set's for a El-EF I'm not 100% but i think the front wheels are the same ea-au only the rear changes. |

There arn't rear wheel bearings on the Falcons, rear axel bearings maybe, but it'd be hard for the diff to turn the rear wheels if they had bearings!

those kit numbers should work at most bearing shops, CBC SKF Statewide bearings list go's on and on.
yes the rear bearings are on the axle but are still called rear wheel bearings. and are always sold (well from all the bearing whole salers i've ever worked for or spoken to) as rear wheel bearings. |

O I do believe it, there listed as wheel bearings on the computers at work to. and people ask for them as wheel bearings. But I just thought I'd try and be a smart a*** and point out that they arn't really... |
