okay...so who here knows why my front wheels get black with brake dust while the rear ones are not that dusty?

Front brakes do about 70% of the work whilst rear to about 30%.

Front brakes usually have a more aggressive pad in there as well, so the pad and disc tend to release more crud which winds up on the wheel.

You'll find that especially if you brake lightly. your rear brakes won't even engage.

I have to clean my wheels weekly, the fronts take alot more effort than the rears. But as said, the rears don't add much to braking.

Thank god I'm not running them in the Auto Fairmont, or people would think my FTR's were black...

Unless you drive around for 10K KM after getting you're brakes checked - and given the ok, only to be told the second time, that 'oh one of the rear calipers was seized'.

grab a set of EBC Green stuff for the fronts.. more bite better wear and not as harsh on the rotors as ultimates.. don't be a tight a** spend the extra and get quality.

Only reason I run Bendix in my car is because I have a friend @ Bursons who gives me good prices and Burson's don't deal in EBC.

I must say that the old Bendix pads, the ones that still had asbestos in them were s**t. I'll be running EBC green or yellow stuff in my car next time it needs new pads.

I intend on trying EBC pads when the Ultimates are done.
I've been looking at the Red Ceramics though.
Seeing as the Sprint never gets used as a daily driver, and it get's driven hard when I do drive it, the warm up period shouldn't matter.
Anyone got any experience with them?
