G'day guys,

Just had my front rotors and all brake pads changed, after driving that night, on the way to Penrith (100km/h) i noticed my wheel was wobbling while on the accelerator. used to wobble when i was on the brake but the new rotors and pads fixed that, Jacked it up and saw the right wheel when being held at 3 and 9 and pulling back and forth my wheel seems to wobble. Called the mechanic and he said it sounds like this 'rod' (can't remember the name) right behind the wheel causing it to wobble. Just in case he said the part is around $40.

Just asking so i know whether to get a allignment, balance then the "rod" or other way around.

Cheers.

If it wasn't happening in the first place, then perhaps the mechanic has made a mistake and just wants to play it safe and buy parts till it's sorted?

Not too sure,

He came back and rechecked his work (rotors, pads, front bearings, and rotated tyres) and that was the only explanation he found, other than it may need a wheel balance.

Cheers.

Sounds like either wheel bearings or tie rod ends.

Tie rod ends. These dont last forever and when they go they pretty much just explode.

Mechanic changed the a "rod" today not sure what it was.

Have to get wheels balanced and aligned again.
Around 95kmh and under the steering wheel would be fine, but over that and the wheel was shaking.

Also the bearings were replaced along with front rotors and all pads.

But thanks for the help guys.
