I drove over a road the other day that was being mid built and it didnt have a change of speed limit or anything warning me and so it went from an 80k zone to a bumpy as f**k road and as a result ive got little stones/pebbles lodged under my car somewhere.

it sounds like its on the drivers side, you can hear them move around and rattle when im going 0-40k's. cant hear it when i break and cant hear it when i reverse. only in light acceleration. any ideas?

really getting on my nerves

maybe up in the side skirts, dose it sound like they are rolling on metal or plastic?

its hard to say really where its coming from, good idea though thinking of the body kit. i'll have a look in there tomorrow. but they're fibreglass and it sounds like its a metal material. as its only on slight acceleration id say its under the hood somewhere right?

check in behind the the plastic inner wheel shroud. You may need to pull the wheel off to get full access to the shroud.

Its a typical place for the to collect smaller stones.

Im assuming its the "rattling"/"tinkling" sorta sound of a small stone rolling across metal?

there are holes in the chassis rail they could have bounced into and are rolling around in there, possibly up around your strut tops? but not likely, easies place to check though..

As Johnson mentioned, maybe up under the plastic guard pieces and into the frame?

Is it like its under the car? I'm assuming yes with my ideas..

its a rattle sound, almost like a purr? coming from the drivers side, underneath somewhere. only started happening after that incident.

just a list of places to check tomrorrow would be cool

Hmmm, I sorta get what you mean, the rapid odd shape rolling is like a purr.. Sounds like a potentially head bashingly annoying problem lol.

do you know anyone you can borrow a hoist to have a good look under it? save snaking around looking, you can get better angles to see things too..

either way Id check the places mentioned already...

nah no access to a hoist, i'll jack it up tommorrow and have a good look. if i cant see anything i'll either try and drive them out or suck it up til i figure out what it is. any other ideas are welcome haha. i need it gone!! making my beast sound like a bag of s**t

I'm trying to think of what would be good to use, but maybe spraying some contact adhesive or something in the holes under there and going for a drive might get them to stick to it and stop moving around?

maybe even some sharp braking might throw them into a crevice and make them stop moving...

so i took the drivers side front wheel off, and there was some in the side skirts, but the majority of it sounds like its coming from the exhaust? could they get inthere possibly?

No. Not unless you have holes in your exhaust..

Give ya exhaust a shake, and/or hit the muffler.. perhaps your muffler has dropped its guts. . If you think its your exhaust..

It's the tray that's just underneath the engine, has little rocks stuck in it.
Connects the engine to the exhaust. When I grab it the noise stops, when I let go it happens again
