Gday,

Im after a 9" LSD for my XB sedan. I have seen a few ads in magazines for 9" assemblies for $1500. Are these any good, or am I just going to have to swap the parts out for good ones in the end anyway?

BTW I'm in Tassie so if anyone knows of a place down here that does them or of someone that wants to get rid of a complete diff or housing I'd really appreciate a PM :D .

Cheers,

Matt

Best place to find them are from Fairlanes & LTD's. From ZF to ZH. Only the 351 powered ones had them. 302 units had BW diffs ( usually ).
The problem then is the ratio's available, 2.75 or if fitted with twin system exhaust a 3.00 was in it. 3.25's are a nice all round ratio, depending on what your after, of course.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for those wrecks. :D

I have a toploader and I was thinking inbetween 3 and 3.5...3.25 sounds like a good choice. I'll do the maths on the speeds and shiftpoints in each gear and see what it looks like.
