hey guys,
i was just wondering on what everyone thought was lower, pedders superlows or lovell superlows becasue at the moment i have got the pedders and im pretty happy with them but i wouldnt mind the back sitting a bit lower, i know a guy selling a set of 4 super low lovells for 80 bucks and if they were a bit lower i wouldnt mind buying them off him. and also what would you guys think about having the lovells only in the back and the pedders in the front. thanks for any feedback. much appreciated.

i have been told by suspension people that it does not matter what brand you use, as they all use the exact same steel stock to make the springs, so different brands front to back should be no bother!!!

As to which is lower i got no idea!!!!

The difference between brands is there, the rates are completely different!

Anyone who has tried more than one brand would know you get toattly different feels, kings are harsh and firm, lovells i havnt used but are firm but nowhere near as harsh. Pedders i am yet to use but they are usually softer from what ive felt and then there whiteline which are a softer more comfortable spring when used with good shocks.

Ive had kings and way too "go-kart" like for my liking, the whiteline and pedders feel like a real car that handles yet wont break your bones over bumps.

PS whiteline make their own springs now, used to be lovells a while back; their "whiteline" shocks however are kyb's still..

Basically anything other than kings, lovells/pedders depends if you want comfort aswell as handling.. or just firm ride.

they do not use the same grade or quality steel at all, pedders springs are made here on the gold caost by kings springs with a lesser quallity steel to keep costs down, that is why they sag 1 inch over a year compared to quallity products such as kings, lovels, and k-mac which may sag 1 inch over a 5 yera period.

as quoted from an ex pedders staff member while he was happily employed by the company. he also told me thier shocks were no more than supercheap brand gabriels re-painted and stickered back in thier factories.

Does anyone know what the spring rates are for the springs mentioned above? I'm looking at replacing my pedders sportsryder system on my EF with Bilstein shocks and am trying to work out which spring to use. I've been told that i could use my current pedders springs as the Bilstein shocks will be custom built anyways (saddle position etc), however i'd prefer to change to either whiteline, lovell or custom springs. Any ideas on spring rates or any feedback from people who have actually used these springs??

Cheers,
Anth
