So I have all the parts to do an auto to manual conversion on my LTD, I'm just curious about the pedal box, which ones will fit? Can i use one from an AU??

also, I've been told the car will run without changing the ECU, but not great, any info on this?

Cheers,

an AU pedal box wont fit, need to use an EF/EL one, but an EA-ED one can also be modded to fit pretty easy, need to do a search on here to find out how to do that. The car can be made to run properley with the auto ECU, need to trick it with resistors, again, do a search on here.

Even with resistor trick, the car might have a hunting/rougher idle and stall when the clutch is pushed in. Can be fixed with a manual ECU or a pre-programmed J3 chip.

The hunting idle isn't too problematic, it fixes itself after a while but it still won't idle as it should. Stalling issues when pushing the clutch in is one main concern...happened to me when I was taking a corner and the steering just went hard, had to learn how to heel and toe it into corners to remedy this. Now with the J3 I don't have that issue (unless I reset the ECU).

Besides that, the car should run with a resistor trick.
