Nolathane make arms, but i think they are similar to the standard ones, which might mean they can't be located as far back as the Whiteline ones which have a scollop where it sits over the diff housing.

Considering they are drilling the hole in the same spot at EL XR's, then EL XR arms would do the job.

Sounds like a crok to me. Those things look like chopped up EB/ED XR arms.

I've had a set of EL XR arms sitting in my garage for 3 years now, didnt realise people still wanted them.

No... There are 2 different arms and mounting points in the EL range. XR and everything else.

so if i got EL XR upper trailing arms those mounting wholes would already be there for me ?

If you still have an EL diff in your car, then yes.

Nolathane sell new arms complete with bushes. I think they were around the $200 mark last time I bought them.

They are still in the current catalogue.

Look up part numbers 46900A and 46900AHD on the Nolathane site. It will give you all the answers.

They may sound like a crok, but they do work, changed the whole rear of my car, much more solid.

The Nolathane arms look like the standard arms to me, perhaps slightly longer? but same general design. If I were to mount one in the same hole as the one the Whiteline arm is in, it would hit the top of the diff housing.

I haven't seen an EL XR arm to compare.

ok cheers, I have the pedders sports rider kit and same height as superlow and a 30mm front sway bar. What would the best trailing arms to use?

that whiteline arm does look like an ED XR arm, doesn't even look like they've done a thing except powdercoated it silver and pressed in poly bushes.

the EL XR arms are kinked to clear the axle tube.

Well, putting in arms that lower the roll centre with new bushes will do that regardless.



To clarify, the upper arms from XE to EF are all 340mm centre to centre. EL and AU standard arms went to 320mm centre to centre, but the XR of both design retained the 340mm length and put a kink at the end that goes over the diff.

If you look closely at the pics, you will see the XR arms have the tubing welded on the 12 to 3pm position of the mount, whereas the standard arms are welded to the centre of the mount. You can also see the kink in the tube on the left of the arm in the pic. So there is really no chance of it hidding the diff, unless your running cut ultra low springs.


We'll, I have. And I can tell you the Nolathane arms minic the EL XR arms. Bit rough saying they wont work, blah blah, when you've never seen them. I've had 2 Tickford suspended EL's, and have bought about 10 sets of the Nolthane arms, so I know they work.

What Whiteline have done is taken the ED XR arm, which mounted in a similar spot to the EL XR, and chopped the excess off the U channel and painted them silver. These arms already had a kink in them too, so they would fit straight in. If they didn't cut that excess off, the arm would actually rest on the diff and have zero movement. I know this because C**k at Ford put ED XR arms in my EL under warranty and f**k up one of my holidays as the car was undriveable.

Not saying its a bad solution. It's just a simple way of being able to give EL XR suspension characteristics to diffs that weren't made for it.
