ok guys,
hopefully some of you can help me out.. i've fitted a pair of ultra's in the rear, and im now attempting to do the front struts.. both have been pulled out, old springs are out... now i went to put the superlow's on and the end positions of the coil dont match up, so 1 of the 3 bolts which is supposed to be pointing out towards the fender, is just not co=operating.. i've tried to move the rubber inside the top bit, but there are 3 indentations in the rubber which i assume are to line it up... hopefully that all made sence... need help asap....

Yeah mate has happened to me a few times its a pain in the a***. Not sure if you are supposed to do this but all i did was line the 2 up in the holes then grab the spring and twist it till it lines up, it takes a bit of swearing but it lines up. Hope this makes sense and is what you are talking about.

yeh this is the easiest way to do it. like deller said line to bolts up and twist the strut until they all line up.

here's a pic looking from the front...
i put bottom in vice and tightened it all up, and then tried to twist it, first by hand, and then with a crow bar, will still only twist an 1 inch, no where near enough...

A little trick when replacing the front springs is to mark the very outer of the top spring shell as you will have to remove the rubber insert to lign up with the end of the spring. As you have not done this you will have to align it by eye with the lower mounts of the shock, sit the rubber insert on top of the spring then sit the top spring shell on as close as possible as it would fit in the car. If it was marke before it was removed all you had to do was line the mark up with the lower of the shock.

not to sure what you have done there just make sure everything is located properly and check with your old springs make sure both of the ends of the springs finish in the same spots.

the other option you could have tried was put the top in first and then twist the bottom around.
