hey, just got a new cushion button clutch an billet flywheel for my el 6cyl 5sp, put it all in right and triple checked everything and geuss wat its slipping just got the car on the ground an hour ago an took it for a test run to find it is slipping , the only thing that my mates and i can think of is that because the cable is so strectched that its not allowing 100% engagement, but if i slacken it off it wont let in go into gear thats our theory.
the clutch is a `10.5 inch cushion button. we put new spigot bearing in, new throwout bearing in also its just mind boggling any help would be much appreciated

Slipping? a stretched cable would make it 'not' stick.
Bent fork could be a drama, but again, its part of a release mech. I could only assume the thrust bearing is too tall, or the flywheel is too thick. etc.

did you put the plate in the right way around, a freind of mine got his clutch done, same thing slipping, the mating surface was the 6 flywheel bolts and the steel on the inner part of the clutch plate.
i know you said you tripple checked everything, but just a thought. |

If not greasy finger prints, did you clean the surface of the flywheel? It would have an .anti-rust coating on it

i worked and sorted out the problem it was a strange one but the cable was so bloody nackerd an stretched that we ran out of adjustment, its ok though i didnt drive it like that i parked her up and got a lift to work and fixed it later in the week so yeah $69 for a new clutch cable from autobahn springwood, now the clutch does everything i want it too,
umm whats the price of a t5 rebuild cause my synchros are fooked in second and just crunches unless below 3000rpm sucks hardcore cause i wanna go to willow bank and see what difference the clutch makes to my times, but dont really wanna go out there with a fooked box, cause i dont fancy picking up bits of second gear off the track
