I'm pretty sure that there was a factory option for 16" in the ED's.
I'm sure you COULD option EBGT rims... If you knew someone that worked for ford... Like someone else said, get a hold of an EBGT Tyre Placard, say that it was a dealer owned car that was Special Order from Ford with EBGT rims, and you've just upgraded them. I'd believe it...

You could get 16in optional wheels on EDs, but I think they were only available on XRs

BTW, in the NSW RTA regulations, it does say that you can have any diameter wheels as long as it doesnt change the rolling diameter by greater than 15mm
They are more concerned by the track, which you cant increase by 25mm. You can also run 2in wider wheels on the rear, but has to be certified by a signatory Link here http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/ ... 9_rev4.pdf

a bloke i worked with put 275s on an ed just for fun would have to roll the guards. your best bet is to get a rim with an offset that will allow you to fill the gaurds as much as possible, cause there is always room on the insidei reako 265-35-18s on 9.5" rims would be the go look tough aswell
