Does a auII 5 speed manual gearbox have the same bell housing as a ba gearbox and what else would I have to do to make it fit

only question i have is ........... how will you operate the clutch?. do some research on the clutch pedal for both cars and you will have your answer.

Cheers

I was going to run a au cable clutch but I’m not sure if the bell housings are the same or not

IIRC the bell housings are the same, personally i wouldn't run the cable clutch and would contact malwood or someone that specialists in gearboxes and do a hydro conversion.

the bellhousings are the same . . ... but not.

the AU version uses a metal clutch arm [cable operated] with a pivot point inside the bellhousing - the BA/BF use a hydraulic slave cylinder to operate the clutch.

as mentioned - if you want to go the way you want .... talk to Mal Wood re hydraulic setup for the AU [pedals] mated to the BA/BF slave.

Since I wasn't sure whether the bell housings were the same, I wasn't going to use an au cable clutch.
