probably just depends how fast your traveling j\k i use bendix pads all round and im happy with how well they grab. in one of my magazines i saw an adaptor\arm kit you can buy to fit the au-ba calipers onto the e-series. when i find it ill post it here, if i remember correctly it was a melbourne company.

i found it but i was wrong, the company is Hoppers Stoppers only its for the x series (XW to XF) adaptors to fit the dba AUII\AUIII calipers. i gave them a call and was told it cant be done to the EL unless you have a large wad of cash. :s

he said the main cost was modified stub axles? its probably because of the difference in offsets.
if you want to give them a call the number is (03) 9748 6950

I know of someone who has said they can get AU calipers mounted for around 600-700. They're not on this forum, but I'll PM their details for anyone interested.

Try changing your brake fluid, that helps, and make sure the caliper slides are free to move.

Doesnt matter what you do to the standard e-series brakes, they are just plain crap. The pad surface is too small to disipate enough energy before getting over cooked.
Ive tried the DBA's slotted & x-drilled & slotted, bendix pads, kevlar pads all the s**t, they only pull up from any decent speed once before they are cooked and have to be let cool down.
