smooth is a matter of opinion... you can get cushy grandpa jacked up springs that handle like a boat or you can get nice low, rock hard, spine breakin, drive like your on rails springs...the latter rock

V8/4L springs only apply to the front. The rear springs are a common part number.
All springs (bar V8/4L) are the same from EA-EL, and all King Spring pricing is the same for almost EVERY falcon, with the exception of AU Stretch

IIRC the rear springs are the same from XE right up to the last of the live axle AU sedans
