im looking at these as a swap for the gears in my 3.45 xr lsd diff im running atm.. would they bolt straight in? 3.89 should be i nice noticeable gain in "Snappiness" of the line right? over 3.45's?

Can be made to fit, but dont fit as is (they are borg warner 75 so will fit xf/ea but not the eb onwards with borg warner 78's).

BTW - These gears go for $50-$70 at most wreckers

Yeah, I should go buy a whole heap of 3.9's from my local wrecker and stick them on ebay - make a fortune selling them to suckers :P

None of the skyline diff gears are just going to drop straight into an EF and work. You need to mess around with shims, its really a bit beyond what i can be done at home.

How soon were you looking at getting it done, and do you have an LSD at the moment? I know of a certain someone who has had the pleasure of making 75's fit in to a 78 housing, and Im sure that he would do it for you

lol it would be good for a holiday

Why cant we just run 9" diffs, they are a hell of a lot easier to set up and there is s**t loads of stuff for them ratio's and parts wise.

Oh well, back to the 78 series borgies I guess
