hi guys, got a mate how is dropping an AU v8 and auto box into an XB. plans to only run carby setup not EFI so the problem in running the auto. I have a TCM from an EL so my question is what is required to do to make it run the box without going into limp mode. Is it just the speed, and TPS that need to be connected up? or will it spit the dummy at not having the data link?
Thanks. |

Your better off with either the EA or EB Series one 6, or EB/ED V8 TCM.
The EF/EL V8 TCM gets the gear position from the ECU. The ones listed above only need TPS to work correctly. You Can run the EF Transmission with the EB/D TCM Nigel |

I run an AU V8 box behind a clevo, you need speedo input, tach, TPS. TCM from pre AU V8 if good as shift points suit V8. You don't need the data link. The workshop manual is a must to wire it up. Mine runs like a clock.
