Hey guys,

Just wondering if a 5 speed T5 manual conversion kit from an EA would fit in a EF Auto without any problems?

cheers,

-Damo

it should do, as long as you use the EA style flywheel and 3 bolt clutch (wich incedently is the same right back to XR or XT or something) Gearbox will fit no dramas, not 100% on pedal box but I beleve it will fit, you'll need to use the EF ECU but you can retain your auto one.

It is just the flywheel/clutch and pedal box that will give you trouble

The EA pedal box mounts to the steering column differently (can be modified with an angle grinder) and there are some mounts for electronics that are missing (can be fixed with cable ties). Or just keep your auto pedal box and use the pedals from the ea's and a clutch pin.

The flywheel and clutch are different but bolt on. You could just use it as it is and remember to use EA clutches in the future, you could modify the EA flywheel to take a 4.0 clutch, or get a 4.0 flywheel/clutch from the wreckers.

There are a few other things such as the interior trim and brackets for the center console that fit around the shifter that are different as well, but it is easy to make these parts up.

So what's different with regards to the pedal box?
