Hey just wondering if anyone has done thins and what parts i should pinch of a XC for my XW?
I have a XC wreck that i was going to raid so all the bits are there.

My XW is 4wheel drums, so I want to put the front discs and booster out of the XC into it.

Im assuming the booster barakcet will need mods, but what other parts can i swap over and what will i need to source?

Thanks

I had an XA with a lot of XC parts on it including the disk brake rear end. The XW front end from memory was the same as the XY and that was very similar, if not the same as the XA.

This what I believe you may be able to use:

1. Front disk brakes - stud pattern is same but the XC centre nub is larger. Your rims will need to be suitable for an XC.

2. Power booster - Mounting holes in the firewall should be the same. The XC booster is higher capacity and therefore deeper. It should fit.

3. Rear wheel brake cylinders - If you use XC front disks, you need to install the XC rear brake cylinders. If you don't, the brake bias will be to the back and the rear wheels will lock up all the time under brakes.

I stress again, this is from memory and you will need to double check what I said above.
