the BA is a better setup, why would you want to go backwards?

that being the case you could try and adapt EA-ED as they use the same crap design

yeh that true them too, but why u call it a crap design, have u seen , the inside to a ba rear drum, drum brake is a 19th century set up an ba,s are a 21st century car with drum set up.

yes i have overhauled literally hundreds of these style calipers...common on early holden rear discs to WB. and Fords from XB thru to ED.

If they were such a great design why did they go to the drum design?
if they are adjusted correctly there is no dramas with them where as the early style ones seize up, are prone to caliper slide pins also seizing ratchets not working correctly.

XE to ED handbrake system is a crap design. The system used for the EF onwards is a much more simpler and eficient system. No issues at all when adjusted correctly and they are easy to adjust. Try doing that with an XE-ED handbrake when they jam up.

I prefer the park & service brake in one caliper over the Park drum and service brake disc arrangement.
It always works, and never have to adjust it, as it is self adjusting.
Changing brake fluid regularly, and checking slides when doing that, is preventitive maintainence, eh?
The XE has a ventilated rear disc, same as to the XF, but the EA to ED isn't, has a solid rear disc.
I see the rear brake set-up on EF to BA/BF as cheap and nasty.
Remember, they make sh!t to a price, not always a standard.
The Japs, and the Europeans, have used the combined caliper arrangement for years.

My 2 cents.
