G'day

Can you be a little more specific.

Theres 2 5 speed box in a xf, ones a s**t 5 speed that was put behind the 3.3 and the other was a t5.

The first t5's were terrible, and the others wont fit. Easiest way to tell if it is a t5 or not is the clutch cable. If it goes to the passenger side of the bell housing then its not a t5.

Why would you want an xf t5 behind an edxr6 motor. really backwards step. The first t5's were not very good at all.

Cheers

I think that the ed-l all come out with a tougher 5 speed. Beleive it was called a T5z. The later T5's are a good box providing you don't wanna put too much horsepower through it.

hi
actually i have a t5 and the clutch cable goes on the passenger side and its from a ed...

as far as i know the only difference is ratios and the later t5s had sincro in reverse but the boxes are verry much the same..

you can even use the t5 from a commodore but you need the ford bell housing a holden clutch and tailshaft yolk..
but it seems like to much mucking around to me..

i dont know about the 3.3 having a different box???
