Hi, ready to remove EB motor from ute and replace with XH motor. Have removed bolts from engine mounts, bell housing, fan, radiator, battery, air box, exhaust, heater hoses etc and loom. There is a thin metal plate covering the where the torque converter is,between the trans and the rear of the motor. I am not sure what to do next as I've read about undoing torque converter to flex plate or flywheel bolts and sliding torque converter over drive shaft from the trans, before hoisting motor out. Do I need to remove this plate to get to these bolts, or is it the full diameter of the bell housing making removal difficult as the drive shaft goes through it? I've read about a sandwich plate, is this the thin metal plate that basically stops crap getting to the flywheel, that covers the lower half of the bell housing?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
