xr6 turbo 5 speeds are still just a T5 box as far as i know. If you can make that fit you *should* be able to make a 6 speed manual fit i would think...

the xr6t boxes are t5z's - basically a t5 with upgraded internals. You can take any t5 and have it z-speced by gearbox specialists.
but more importantly, what engine is this going behind and how much power is it making?

here I was thinking it was going behind a 351C or something...
Either box will be strong enough (unless you plan on driving it VERY hard). Dellow have bellhousings for both so maybe start by talking with them.

I once tried a supra box............ all but 2 of the teeth fell off on the 2nd gear cog, within a fortnight? that was a supposed reco box too..
they are very overrated and you can't get replacement parts for less than the price of another (s**t)box. you would be better off using a single railoff a sigma!

remember, not just the power, the weight of the car could be an issue. what do xb's weigh?
300fwhp should be fine on any of the boxes though, the xr6t t5's usually hold about 250rwkw.

It is the torque that kills them, add the factor of weight & tyre size & they have no hope!

i think you don't know much about supras...i mean the things weight as much as your XR8...1800kgs...and they do a 13.1 second 1/4 mile standard...with about 350hp stock.
