Hi! First off, I understand that WADE Cams is a site sponser, but I dont think this would be anything against them as it's just an exchange of information/views/opinions.

What you do guys think the best cam is and why?

To be more specific in why I'm asking and what I'm looking for is I'm looking for a cam and there are 1,000,001 to choose from. I'm looking for some good gains in lower mid to upper mid range power, say in the 1500 - 3500 rev range. I havn't really looked much into upgrading the ECU yet, can anyone give me some good makers/suppliers? Would I be better off waiting until the head gets ported before upgrading the ECU or it wouldn't make a difference (or would I just have to get it re-programmed once that's done?)?

BTW the cams I've takin an interest in so far are

WADE Cam 1673
CROW Cam 2222519

Crow reckons I can expect about 120rwkw with their cam + 7739-12 valve springs/cs6ea-v gear and a good set of pipes.

lol what are pipes? Intake pipes? Just recieved the email from them re the cam :)

Cheers guys!

1673 isn't really made for power that down low, the 1636 would be good for you id say. With full exhaust and CAI you would make mid 130rwkw's.

Crow saying 120rwkw is a little bit pox, you could get 120rwkw with standard cam with full exhaust and CAI

CAI is cold air intake, a stock EF would pull about 100-105rwkw, a manual one would about 110rwkw i would say though.

lol, mid to upper rev range aint 1500-3500.
Thats low to mid, so if you're looking for an increase in that range, something described as mild or high torque would be the go.

Thanks for the help guys!
