ok i been changing my door cards and other lil interior mod i thought i would try and give back info to fordmods its already prob been covered but anyway

STEP 1
remove the complete car door trim (as pictured) making sure to remember where all the screws and bolts go you will see outlined in red the tabs that needed to be released using a flat head screwdriver
making sure you do not snap them off




STEP 2
lay the fabric on a clean flat surface place the door card ontop making sure that the fabric will cover door card do a test fold over making sure the corners will be covered


STEP 3
once you have cut the fabric to a workable size its time to fold the fabric over onto the door card and using glue to hold it onto card to keep a good contact while the glue drys i simply use pegs they seem to hook over the ridge is the door card its best to work along both the flat sides first making sure its pulled tight and then pegged then do the ponited part of the card 2nd and finally the short flat end making sure again your pulling it tight (that is if you going for the tight effect) like i have






STEP 4
a quick and easy step here once the glue has dried remove the pegs from the card and then cut out your door handle holes and any others needed (power window, window winder, arm rests etc)

you dont really need to fold the fabric into the door handle and glue it depening how fussy you are


FINAL STEP
its pretty much all done by this stage now all is needed is to fit the card back to the door trim and fold the metal tabs back over and fit the door trim back to the door and it should turn out like this (minus the black paint)

I'm redoing mine, and have also sprayed contact adhesive to the front side of the door card.
I'm guessing you used ordinary craft glue?

i used a quick dry adhesive for fabric yea

When I did mine I used a Sika Contact adhesive which is designed for leather, vinyl, foam and fabrics. Picked it up a Supercheap and it wasnt that expensive.
Fumes a pretty strong tho...
