what amperage would a ebll ed alternator be?

and is their a height amperage one available?

i have tried all the search function that i can think of.

from memory the gli are 75 and ghia are 80 amps..
the only ones that are higher are the ef 110 amp or el 100 amp.
but need some modification to fit..

ok thanks i am planning to do the thermo fan conersion will the 75 amp one be strong enouth plus the car audio i am running

It should be ok buddy. The fans do suck a bit of juice tho.

Your audio system is not huge, but the EB electrics are a bit on the weak side IMO. I had a monster 2200w rms stereo years ago in an EBII XR6 which ran the standard alternator. It suffered from a little voltage drop (even with a cap) at extreme spl, but otherwise was fine.

I suggest installing them and seeing how it goes. If you have a problem you can always upgrade, but its money and stuffing around you may not have to go through if you suck it and see.

Alternatively, see an auto sparky about having your original alternator rewound to a higher amperage.
