gday, just wondering what the flow rate of these injectors are? My car was tuned last friday and the AU 20lb injectors wernt big enough and ran out at 4000rpm. I got a set of the XR6T injectors for $120 and putting them in next friday and tuning at the same time again.

is there anyway you can tell if the fuel pump is on its way out when you are just crusing along? I got the injectors aswell for later when i supercharge it, he said he can fix the mixtures up if i go bigger so it dosn't matter. Im using the SCT Eliminator chip aswell

Monitor fuel pressure while doing a power run on the dyno to ascertain the health of the pump and whether it's the cause of your problem.
I find it hard to believe also that the AU injectors are at max. duty cycle, but you haven't said how much power it made or what mods you've got?
The XR6T reg is 400kpa, you could also just run that reg to squeeze more out of your current injectors.
I would definately think about replacing fuel pump with something like a 255l/h walbro though once you reach the limits of the stock injectors, as a precaution.

ok cheers, it has the usual mods, paci comps with full exhaust, big bore throttle body, full CAI, rebuilt engine bored out 30tho with ACL's, Wade 1671AU cam, advanced 2 degrees and SCT eliminator chip. It made 151rwkw and 465rwnm and he said it he should be able to get more out of it as the injectors were at 100% at jus on 4000rpm. Do you know how much the XR6t fuel reg is? Cheers

$120 for XR6T injectors is a bit rich, I got mine for $60 delivered, off XR6Turbo forums. those guys are pretty much throwing them out as most have gone to 60lb dekas and what not.

Why does everyone assume their injectors are maxxed out, OED Makes 165rwkw and runs 13.8@100mph on stock E-Series injectors. Get a WB O2 Sensor and check AFR's yourself

This guy didn't assume......he MEASURED them being maxed out.
BSFC(Brake Specific Fuel Consumption) varies from engine to engine.
There are a number of possibilities;

1. GeZzas' engine may be less efficient than the other guys engine and therefore requires more fuel for the power he is making.

2. The other guy could be running an XR6 or other fuel pressure regulator which gives higher fuel pressure and therefore more fuel flow.

3. The other guy could also be running dangerously close to a lean out....running at over 85-90% injector duty at full power is a dangerous practice.
