Hey mate might want to mention whether the drives are ide or sata

can you just plug the Acer 512mb ddr333 memory straight into any computer and away you go or does other s**t have to be done?

you would need to check what form of ram your mobo accepts.

The manufacturers website will provide answers, mostly if you are running older gear, as in a few years old, it may suit. Its DDR 333mhz and similar.

I would hazard a guess an entry level pc older than 4 years will be running DDR ram.
