Hi am wondering how hard it is to change over an auto gear shifter and hand brake lever as I'm looking at buying them from a fairlane with the crome buttons. Any advice would be great!

Thanks Matt

What

car do you own? It shouln't be that hard the handbrake lever a few bolts and cable linkage,

the automatic one, there should be a screw, undo that get some multigrips and unscrew the handle and installation is the other way around

1) Handbrake lever grip.
Unscrew the button, it is a srandard right hand thread but very long, you may need to use a pair of multi grips to get it started as it can be very tight. wrap the button in tape or a rag before using the multi grips and be very careful when putting on the chrome button if using multi grips a s the chrome can crack easitk on the plastic. In all it is a fairly simple job.

2) Gear Knob;
Loosen the large nut at the base of the Gear knob, clockwise, you only just need to loosen it not wind it all the way down. Then unscrew the Gear knob anti-clockwise. Assembly is the reverse and then just nip up the lock nut, you on't need to have this overly tight, just a nip up.

Jobs are done.

Hey mate pm'd you that pic, for got completely about it.

On another note, are the handbrake covers of the au the completely the same as the ef/el ones, just wouldn't mind a black au ghia cover, for my interior.

Only problem is that an AU Auto shifter pulls the rod up to select gears, instead of pushing it down like an E-Series One.
