today when i got out of the car i noticed an oil smell, and on closer inspection the rear passenger wheel has diff oil on the back lip of the rim. Looks like its coming from where the diff/axle housing meets the backing plate on the hub, like a square end with 4 bolts.

so my query is

1. What fault is causing this leak
2. Could this fault be caused by the diff shop that fitted diff gears & LSD centre recently?

1. Axle seal & gaskets

2.They could have damaged the seal when re-fitting the axle, most places (should) replace axle seals when rebuilding diffs - warranty!

ive got the car booked in to get the axle seal fixed, and i'll mention about the diff breather

little niggly things like this pisses me off, as i hate spending a fair chunk of money on a certain area of the car, then it needing attention soon after anyway :(
