Also can anyone tell me the tourque that the balancer should be set at. Thanks Lee. |

If so, these will be compressed down and that mm each side will dissapear, or better still, just use a bead of Ultra grey sealant instead of the corks. If this is not the prob, post up a picture so we can see what is going on. Usually, the manifold will slide down the heads untill it seats, so unsure exactly what you mean. Remember, the Felpro intake gaskets are 1.5mm thick each side.

I do have the corks fitted, so I'll take them off and give that a shot, thanks for the replies.

I've been told that the manifold was designed for yates or svo heads so this is my problem. Does anyone know any ways totry and overcome this prob. I've been told to get a little machined from the bottom of the manifold? What are your thoughts and thanks for the replies.

If you machine some off the bottom of the manifold, it may work, but just check port alighnment first. Machining it may let it drop down fine, but then the ports may be WAY off lining up to each other, and the bolt holes in the manifold will have to enlongated to make fit. What heads are you running?

I went down to casey automotoive in cranbourne this arvo and checked with them, all they reckon i need to do is mill some of the bottom and it will fit. Im running ford cast heads hence the misalignment.
