I got this cam for my au motor (motore to be put in an ef with ef j3 computer) and was wondering if it would be possible to get a bigger cam ? How much more power will this cam give the motor? (the motor has exhaust mods, heads been ported etc..

duration 255 / 260
duration @ .50" cam lift 210/221
lift at cam 240/270
lobe separation angle 114

Duration @ .050 is nice. Advitised duration a little small.
I don't get the lift. Is 240 inlet & 270 exhaust. if so lift at valves is 480 in. & 540 ex.
That is alot of differance between them.
If all that is correct my opinion is that's a mild cam going off the duration @ .050.

thanks mate, its a cam from camtech and i guess ill have to leave it in the engine to see how it goes, if its too mild ill get them to regrind it into something more aggressive.

Malcum at camtech cams is a top bloke. I know him. He will gide you in the right direction.
I think i made a mistake about the lift because the au falcon engine has a rocker ratio of 1.8 so that will make the valve lift 432 intake & 486 exhaust. & 114 lobe seperation is a very good spec for auto's.

my cam is as follows:
duration 281/284
duration@.50" 228/228
lift 275/275
lobe separation 112 in/113 ex

This produced 157rwkw untuned on a stock unopened motor with a 5sp box
